The Cotswolds Archery Range: Your Go-To Spot For Archery Sessions

Olympic Sport For All To Enjoy

Cotswold Archery was founded in 2012 and has a dedicated archery range set in an area of outstanding beauty in the Cotswolds.

  We are members of the Grand National Archery Society and an Archery Activity Partner with Archer GB, and for those wishing to try the Olympic sport of archery, they can book a One-hour, 90 minute or a full Two-hour archery experience with Cotswold Archery's  professional archer/s.

The One-hour archery experience, archers will be using the Three piece Wooden re-curve bow with a draw weight of 18lb, shooting 6 arrow each time at targets set at 18 meters. Children aged 8 to 11 years old or archers with limited upper body strength can use the Junior Three piece Wooden re-curve d w of 12lb, shooting 6 arrows each time at targets set at 10 meters, moving  further back as they progress.

The 90 minute archery experience will start on the Three piece Wooden re-curve bow for approx. 45 minutes, then there will be a chance to shoot 6 arrows using the Three piece metal-handled Olympic re-curve bow d w 26lb (the starting bow for many archers), and the Syrian Horse bow d w 30lb.

The Two hour archery experience will use  the Three piece Wooden re-curve bow, the Three piece metal-handled Olympic recurve bow, the Syrian Horse bow and a chance to shoot 6 arrows using the The American flat bow (the equivalent to the long bow) d w 35lb and the mighty Mongolian bow  d w 40lb.

(The Two hour archery  experience is NOT recommended for ages 8 to 11 year old and for those with limited upper body strength)

Cotswold Archery reserve the right to change the bow types used in the 90 minute and Two hour archery experiences (other bow types, the Compound bow d w 30lb, the Hungarian bow d w 35lb and the English long bow d w 40lb).

Booking  Required,  minimum age 8 years old and for all abilities.

 Booking details: from March to September, first archery experience start time at 10.30 am, latest  booking time 14.00pm.

From October to February 10.30 am only (other booking maybe  available).

​

Archers can book to participate in a public group archery experience of up 12 archers, or book a private one to one, family or group archery experiences.

​

Established archers can hire one of our six targets at our dedicated 18 meter range, to practice and hone their skills / technique at an alternative venue and  outside their normal archery club meeting day / evening or for just an extra shooting session. Archery coaching, equipment check can also be arranged to help them improve and find their perfect shot, the archer can also try out other bow styles at the unique venue.

Are you visiting Batsford Arboretum for the autumn colours?
Cotswold Archery will be running Have-A-Go at Archery and Axe Throwing events, weekdays throughout the half term holidays and October. 
Look out for the sign at the end of the track leading to our archery range or contact us by email for dates and more information. 
Booking not required, archery minimum age 8, Axe throwing  minimum age 12.
£5 for 8 arrows or 8 axes, pay by cash or card on the day.
